My process of making digital paintings begins with an oil painting. I photograph the painting at various stages of completion.
Then the photographs are uploaded into photoshop and I continue to "paint" on the image digitally until I often have 3 versions. I complete the wet painting. The activity produces both digital prints and a painted canvas which have similarities and differences. I also print early images of paintings in progress which are not digitally painted and are not labelled as digital "paintings."
